Edwin Hatch & Henry A. Redpath

For over one hundred years, this resource has been an indispensable tool for biblical scholars. Now back by demand, the second edition includes an extensive Hebrew index by internationally renowned Septuagint scholar Takamitsu Muraoka, which lists all of the Greek words used to translate each Hebrew and Aramaic word. This edition also includes an introductory essay by Septuagint scholars Robert Kraft and Emmanuel Tov and an improved system for utilizing the appendices.

Author Information: Edwin Hatch (1835-1889) graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford, and served as a minister, professor, theologian, and Septuagint scholar. Among the many books and articles to his credit are The Organization of the Early Christian Churches, The Growth of Church Institutions, Essays in Biblical Greek, and The Influence of Greek Ideas and Usages upon the Christian Church.

Henry A. Redpath (1848-1908) was a minister and biblical scholar. He graduated from Oxford where he later served as a Grinfield lecturer on the Septuagint. In addition to completing the Concordance to the Septuagint, he authored several books and articles.

COMMENTARY ON THE GREEK TEXT OF GALATIANS
John Eadie

"Everything that John Eadie wrote is pure gold. He was simply the best exegete of his generation. His commentaries on Paul's epistles are valued highly by careful expositors. The only regret the purchaser of these volumes will have is that Eadie did not write commentaries on the rest of the Bible. Solid Ground Christian Books has done a great service by bringing Eadie's works back into print." - Dr. Robert P. Martin

According to the New Schaff-Herzog Enclyclopedia of Religious Knowledge, "These commentaries of John Eadie arew marked by candor and clearness as well as by an evangelical unction not common in works of the kind."

John Eadie (1810-1876) was a prominent Scottish Seccession and United Presbyterian Church minister and New Testament scholar. He was appointed Professor of Biblical Literature in the United Presbyterian Divinity Hall in 1843. His widely acclaimed commentaries on Paul's epistles prompted his appointment to the New Testament committee engaged in preparing the Revised Version of the Bible in English.

A Concordance to the Greek Testament: 6th Edition
I. Howard Marshall, W. F Moulton, A. S Geden

This book is a completely revised and reset edition of the best-selling A Concordance to the Greek Testament edited by W. F. Moulton and A. S. Geden.

Originally published in 1897, it has remained in print ever since. It is beyond any doubt the most useful basic tool available for the student of the New Testament. The original edition was primarily based on the Greek text of Westcott and Hort, but gave all the variants in the edition of Tischendorf and in the Greek text underlying the Revised Version of the English Bible; quotations are given with grammatical completeness as far as possible; a significant feature is the inclusion of the Hebrew text of direct quotations from the Old Testament; asterisks and daggers indicate whether the vocabulary items in the New Testament are found in Classical Greek and in the Septuagint.

This new edition retains all the features of the earlier editions, but it is primarily based on the Greek text in The Greek New Testament (4th edition), which is identitcal with that in Novum Testamentum Graece (27th edition), currently the two most widely used editions of the Greek New Testament; it incorporates the main marginal readings in the former of these texts; references to the variants in the older editions are preserved, so that the student has to hand every reading which by evena remote probability might be regarded as forming part of the true text of the New Testament. The Supplement incorporating the prepositions has been included in the main text of the Concordance. Where the same word occurs twice in the same verse, these occurrences are now printed on separate lines and individually verse-numbered so that it is easier to count the number of occurrences of any given word. Special new Greek fonts have been created to enable great clarity in the printing.

Praise for Concordance to the Greek New Testament:

"For over a century this concordance has been a major resource, incorporating the best textual scholarship from the time of Wescott and Hort, and Tischendorf onwards: it is beautifully produced, and even in a fast-changing age it is likely to be a standard reference book for a long time to come."
