COMPLETE 31 VOLUME SET OF JOHN MAC ARTHUR COMMENTARIES
Pastor John MacArthur

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - Dr. MacArthur has just completed his Two Volume Set on THE GOSPEL OF MARK bringing the total number of volumes to 33. On this latest volume we read: "Luke 18-24 covers the final days of Jesus' life, including His triumphal entry into Jerusalem and teaching in the Temple. It also covers in detail His betrayal, illegal trials, crucifixion, and resurrection."

"The fruit from a lifetime of laboring in God's Word is shared with all of us through this series of commentaries. John's respect for the text, love for the Lord, and sympathy with all of us who would follow Christ bring just the right mix of scholarship, reverent reflection, application, and pastoral care." - Mark Dever, Ph. D., Pastor, Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Washington, D.C.

"The MacArthur New Testament Commentary is nothing less than a library of faithful exegesis and exposition. Unparalleled in our times, this project demands attention and deserves a place in every preacher's library. Each new volume should be greeted with enthusiasm and gratitude." - R. Albert Mohler Jr., Ph. D., President, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY

"John MacArthur provides those of us who love to preach and who are learning to preach with a great privilege by letting us have an 'over the shoulder' view of the calling he pursues so diligently, faithfully and well." - Bryan Chapell, Ph. DOZEN MOODY CLASSICS
Augustine, Bounds, Bunyan, Spurgeon, Ryle, Meyer and several more

We are offering the following DOZEN Classics from Moody Press. You can order any of these titles or all of them for a deeper discount. GREAT FOR A GIFT TO A NEW CHRISTIAN, OR A CHURCH OR SCHOOL LIBRARY.

All of Grace by Spurgeon

C. H. Spurgeon writes, "Only God can justify the ungodly, but He can do it to perfection. He casts our sins behind His back; He blots them out. He says that though they be sought for, they shall not be found."

Power Through Prayer by E.M. Bounds

Pastor and civil war chaplain E. M. Bounds penned his slim classic on prayer for the simple reason that Christians don't pray enough. "The little estimate we put on prayer is evident from the little time we give to it," he wrote. "Talking to men for God is a great thing, but talking to God for men is greater still."

The Confessions of St. Augustine

That Augustine was one of the greatest minds who has ever been in the church is a given, and his most well-known work, the Confessions, has a unique place among the world's great classics. The line that appears in the opening paragraph of Book 1, "our heart is restless till it rest in thee," is quoted everywhere, though not everyone who quotes it or hears it knows where it came from and may even think it's a biblical saying.

Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan

Join Christian and his companions on their journey to the Celestial City, as they pass through many experiences common to us all, in Bunyan's timeless allegory of the Christian's walk with God.

Holiness: Its Nature, Hindrances, Difficulties and Roots by J.C. Ryle

J.C. Ryle's Holiness has imparted a standing challenge to Christians for 130 years. In this new, slimmed-down series of excerpts from Ryle's masterwork, we aim to present his original message to a whole new generation. Holiness, Ryle argued, was not simply a matter of believing and feeling, but of doing.

The Apostolic Fathers

A collection of the earliest known writings of the church, The Apostolic Fathers includes a sermon and six brief documents: the First and Second Epistles of Clement, the Didache, the Epistles of Ignatius, the Epistle of Polycarp, the Epistle about PolycarpÆs Martyrdom, and the Shepherd of Hermas.

The Incomparable Christ by J. Oswald Sanders

Author J. Oswald Sanders, a lawyer turned 20th century missionary statesman, follows Jesus from His pre-existence to His earthly life and coming Second Advent. Throughout it all he upholds Jesus as the powerful and perfect Savior of the world, arguing against any who would diminish His uniqueness.

The Secret of Guidance by F.B. Meyer

F. B. Meyer writes, "The grace of purity and self-control, of fervent prayer and understanding in the Scriptures, of love for men and zeal for God, of lowliness and meekness, of gentleness and goodness - all is in Christ; and if Christ is in us, all is ours also."

Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret by Dr. & Mrs. Howard Taylor

A biography of the "father of modern missions," Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret poses the question: What empowered the China missionary's ministry? The answer: a fierce trust in God's promises. Hudson Taylor's secret, it turns out, is available to any who call on Christ's name.

The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a'Kempis

Thomas AÆKempis (1380-1471), a Dutch priest, quietly lived to more than ninety, practicing exercises of devotion, writing and copying, reading, preaching, and exhorting others. Referred to by almost everyone as one of the best-loved, most widely read religious books in the world, after, of course, the Bible, The Imitation of Christ produces heightened expectations in the novice reader.

Answers to Prayer by George Muller

Prayer was the vital component of George Mueller's nineteenth-century ministry to England's orphans. Through his narrative account, Mueller reveals how powerful and spiritually rewarding prayer can be in your life.

Names of God by Nathan Stone

Nathan J. Stone writes, "Indeed we cannot say all that the mysterious word God means to us until we know more about Him." God's many names reveal not only different dimensions of His character but also point to their fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. This insightful little book accurately and clearly works through the many names of God throughout the Old Testament. We can now see God in new lights and angles as we learn of His justice, His unbounded love, His preeminence, and His character - all through His names. This book has sold over 400,000 copies.

WHEN A NATION FORGETS GOD
7 Lessons We Must Learn from Nazi Germany
Erwin W. Lutzer

The erosion of the family, the silencing of the church, the disintegration of morality indicate that America is suffering a cultural crisis, but it is not new. These trends also shaped Nazi Germany. Challenging you to focus on Jesus, Lutzer calls you to stand for truth, justice, and righteousness to stop our country's slide from civility into barbarity. Paperback. A Focus on the Family Recommendation.

Years ago, a cartoon appeared in a Russian newspaper picturing a fork in the road. One path was labeled freedom; the other path was labeled sausage. As we might guess, the path to freedom had few takers; the path to sausage was crowded with footprints. When given a choice people will choose bread and sausage above the free market and individual liberties. The promise of bread gets votes, even if the bread is at the expense of freedom. The people of Nazi Germany weren't any more barbaric, uncivilized, or depraved than any other Western nation of the early Twentieth Century, yet the Nazi regime will forever serve as an example of brutality and extreme racism run amok. What led so many people to such extreme ends?

According to Dr. Lutzer, the German people's progression from civility to barbarity was not extraordinary, and more than a few benchmarks from their transition can be observed in present day American society (Do any of these sound familiar?): The Church is silenced, the economy is king, the lawmakers determine behaviors, the media controls beliefs, the Gospel and nationalism become inextricably tied to each other, and yet, heroes still have power.

This short, manageable book does not suggest the United States is definitely marching toward authoritarian oblivion, but that we - especially we believers - must be vigilant in our stand for truth, justice, and righteousness.

We must take note of these lessons from history. The parallels are real, but the conclusion is not a foregone one.

A SURVEY OF OLD TESTAMENT INTRODUCTION
Gleason Archer

In this revised volume, Gleason Archer's original study is updated by author Dillon Burroughs. It approaches the study of the Old Testament from both the general and the specific point of view. Dealing first with issues over which many scholars debate, Archer offers evidence to support the conservative view of canonicity, historicity, inspiration, textual problems, and higher criticism. The second section dissects each book of the Old Testament individually. Archer thoroughly covers such issues as biblical creationism, Noah's ark and the flood, authorship, chronology, alleged language, style, and theme differences. A Survey of Old Testament Introduction is invaluable to students, scholars, and laymen who want to understand the conservative position of Old Testament issues and are not afraid to examine critical views.

PRAYER: Communing with God in Everything - Collected Insights from A.W. Tozer

Tozer understood prayer as few do: as a way of life. This volume will help readers capture that same grand vision.

With biblical wisdom and stunning insight, Tozer warns us of the barrenness of busyness - of 'hurting ourselves where we cannot afford it.' He urges us to commune regularly with God and offers varied reflections on what that entails.

With added commentary and reflection questions, 'Prayer' compels us not just to pray, but to have a life that prays.
